I came across a blogpost this evening which rekindled the fear in my heart for the safety of my children. It sucks to admit it - but it's true. The statistics are horrifying - over 90% of people with developmental disabilities will be sexually abused in their lifetime. click here for sources This subject simply cannot be ignored. I read that stat last summer...after having Hailey. I cried for hours. How horrible!
